Coin holders come in self-adhesive or stapled versions: the coin is placed inside, and then the holder is folded and stapled or glued. Standard external dimensions of holders are 50 × 50 mm and 67 × 67 mm. A 50 × 50 mm holder is used for coins with a diameter ranging from 14 to 39.5 mm, while a 67 × 67 mm holder is used for coins with a diameter ranging from 40 to 53 mm.

 

The internal size of the holder is selected based on the coin's diameter. Standard internal sizes of holders (window diameter) are: 15 mm, 17.5 mm, 20 mm, 22.5 mm, 25 mm, 27.5 mm, 30 mm, 32.5 mm, 35 mm, 37.5 mm, 39.5 mm, 40 mm, 43 mm, 48 mm, 53 mm.

 

There are also universal holders — with adjustable inserts to fit the required coin diameter.

 

Coin holders are stored in coin albums with special pages, boxes, cases, and display cabinets.
